Dark Souls 3’s release date and two collector’s editions may have been outed by Middle-Eastern retailer Geekay Games in a pair of listings and associated promo art.
Dubbed Dark Souls 3: The Collector Edition and Dark Souls 3: The Prestige Edition, these two special editions of the next chapter of the Dark Souls saga will come packed, naturally, with extra goodies so long as you’re willing to shell out. The images themselves also reveal a release date of April 12, 2016.
The Collector Edition (see above) comes with a metal case, a collector’s box, three iron-on patches, a hardcover artbook, a cloth game map, the game, the official soundtrack, and a 25-cm (about 10-in.) Red Knight figurine. This edition will retail for 499 AED (roughly $136).
The Prestige Edition comes the same items included in the Collector Edition, but, in place of the Red Knight figurine, there is a 40-cm (about 16-in.) Lord of Cinder figurine and a different collector’s box. This edition will retail for 1,799 AED (about $490).
This information has yet to be confirmed by publisher Bandai Namco, but April 12 is not too far off from the March 24, 2016 release date for Dark Souls 3 in Japan. Last month, Bandai Namco held beta tests for Dark Souls 3 in North America, and indicated that the publisher is targeting an April 2016 release for North America and Europe.
