This is a reviews roundup for Fallout 4.
Overall, Fallout 4 has been received positive critical reception, but not unanimously. Bethesda’s propensity for making immersive open worlds is at play here, but has not seen much change or improvement. Working with the id Team for the shooting mechanics has paid off, as has adding in crafting elements. However, the game still has issues, with some reviewers reporting bugs and glitches, and some finding fault with the aging Creation Engine.
Scores have deviated depending on how much reviewers are willing to give Bethesda a pass for what they did wrong, in lieu of what they did right. It’s worth your time to read these reviews, including ours, to assess if this is the game you wanted Fallout 4 to be.
