Sci-fi space adventure Deliver Us Mars will be launching at the end of September and it looks like the team over at Frontier Foundry are ready to start ignition on the game’s pre-launch hype by treating us all to a brand new gameplay trailer.
It’s also revealed in the new trailer that the sequel to the highly successful Deliver Us The Moon is scheduled for release on September 27th. It looks like in order to get eager fans in the mood for lift-off, the developers have shared some new backstory into the upcoming cinematic adventures in this latest video clip. Check it out right here for a first look.
Deliver Us Mars sees players stepping into the shoes of astronaut Kathy Johanson, whose mission to Mars is fuelled by a dire need to save a rapidly deteriorating Earth by retrieving a set of ARKS – vital vessels for colonization. Humanity’s looking for a way off this planet and without these huge space buses, we’re pretty much doomed.
Basically, Kathy’s got a pretty big job on her hands–it looks as though things will be going awry as soon as she gets to the Red Planet. Oh, and the fate of Earth notwithstanding, Kathy’s also got some pretty personal stakes in this mission too, as players will find out as they progress through the story.
In a recent developer diary shared last month, Frontier Foundry shared some insights into the compelling narrative that underpins the puzzle, platforming, and thrill-based game mechanics players will get to experience as part of Deliver Us Mars. It’s a project that looks incredibly engaging and understandably, the community response has been one of similar excitement.
For further information, make sure to check out the PC Gaming Show live stream on June 12th, where Deliver Us Mars will be showcased in more detail and the actress who plays Kathy Johanson will be introduced.
Deliver Us Mars launches on September 27th. It will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
