Batman Arkham Knight PC Rerelease Still Fraught With Issues

October 29, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

It also looks like Warner attempted something sneaky with user reviews.

Batman Arkham Knight’s return to Steam has not come without controversy. While Warner Bros acknowledged the lingering issues the game has, they were also caught attempting some strange rerelease shenanigans.

Nvidia’s and AMD’s SLI and Crossfire still don’t have support. Rocksteady is still working with the two to handle stability issues for cards from both GPU makers, and will probably add SLI/Crossfire afterwards.

There is a minor issue on Windows 7 that causes hard drive paging issues after playing for extended periods. Rcoksteady recommends simply relaunching the game to fix this. On Windows 10, the paging issue can be alleviated if you set aside 12 GB RAM.

Another small issue came up where Season Pass owners didn’t get DLC downloads started immediately, but this has now been addressed.

And now, regarding the strange shenanigans Warner seemed to attempt, until they were caught red-handed. Gamers who bought  and reviewed during the initial release found that their reviews were tagged ‘pre-release reviews’, and they were dated October,  most of which are dated to October 27 or 28.

This has since been changed, with the ‘pre-release reviews’ tag no longer in use, and the reviews now indicating their original dates. However, it is hard to believe that this was not a deliberate move from Warner Bros.

Did you buy Batman Arkham Knight on Steam? What would you say about your experience with it today? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
