Armello, which initially released on September 1, 2015, is a strategy RPG/tabletop game set in a world with anthropomorphic animals. The game gives off a Redwall/Game of Thrones mashup vibe. Players can choose one of four factions, and inhabit the role of that faction’s hero in a quest for the throne. The game was initially announced for the iPad, but with the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign, was also released on Steam, Windows tablets, Linux, and PlayStation 4. A DRM-free version of the game was released on October 1 through GOG. We thought that, despite its flaws, Armello was a bit of a magical success in our review.
The Armellians Roar releases on Tuesday, November 10th. Armello is available now on Steam, Mac, PlayStation 4, Linux, iPad and Windows Tablets, along with DRM-free versions on GOG and the official game website.
