At Sony’s PlayStation Paris Games Week media briefing on Tuesday, the company took time to premiere a new trailer for Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, revealing a launch window of June 2016 at the end of the trailer.
The trailer features narration, a first for a No Man’s Sky trailer. A man’s voice opens the trailer saying, “I’ve seen things. A few things before…left the sun and moon behind. Galaxies waiting to be found. Planets rich in resources. Battles to be fought. Treasures unknown. The universe you wouldn’t believe.” Given the soundtrack the trailer is set to, it gives off a very Tron-like vibe (“The Grid,” anyone?)
No Man’s Sky was officially announced at Sony’s press conference at E3 2014. It has been confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 4 first and then PC at a later date. Recently, Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to demo the game. Murray piloted the demo of the game for Colbert, but Colbert got the chance to name wildlife and structures on some of the planets they visited in the demo after himself.
