Larian Studios has released a new Kickstarter update video discussing Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition that doubles as an update for Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin 2 backers.
Opening the video is Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke. Vincke says that Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 27, 2015. Mac and Linux versions, he said, will be coming in “four to five weeks,” due to “some last minute changes.” He reaffirms that the Mac and Linux versions will be shipping “this year, barring some enormous disaster.”
The video goes on to show off the improvements that have been made in the Enhanced Edition since the game’s original launch on PC last year, such as drop-in-drop-out co-op play, improved graphics and animations, and more.
Last week, Larian Studios revealed some console-specific and pre-order exclusive DLC for Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition in the form of Trick Bags that contain items that can be used to craft special grenades and other items.
In addition to shipping Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition, Larian Studios has also been working on a direct sequel, which, like its predecessor, was successfully funded on Kickstarter. It even crossed a stretch goal that enabled the studio to add writer Chris Avellone to its team.
