Developer Fatshark today released the cinematic launch trailer for soon-to-be-released first-person co-op game Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide.
The cinematic trailer was produced by award-winning Swedish visual effects and animation studio Bläck. The trailer focuses on the game’s antagonizing force, the Skaven, before segueing into a fight on the streets between the Skaven and each of the game’s five heroes.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide features five playable characters with unique backstories and fighting styles. Bardin Goreksson, the Dwarf Ranger, comes from the Grey Mountains. Kerillian is a wood elf with an affinity for bows and daggers. Marcus Kruber is a soldier of the Empire that has taken up a contract under Witch Hunter Victor Saltzpyre in the escort of the Bright Wizard Sienna Fuegonasus.
Players will select one of these five characters to fight off the Skaven as they attempt to overrun the city of Ubersreik. The game features cooperative play, loot-based reward system, and a 13-level campaign.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is set to be released on Oct. 23, 2015 for PC and at a later date in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
