Sega has announced that the new Tekken 7 collaboration Pack DLC will be made available this week for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. The new downloadable content for the fighting game will be made available on PSN on June 1st. A new trailer that showcases the crossover content can be viewed below.
The new crossover includes 19 Tekken-themed costumes that will transform the cast into characters from Tekken 7. This DLC will also include 20 new music tracks from Tekken 7, as well as a new Tekken 7 battle UI. Finally, the content will come with two new titles.
Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is developed by studio Ryu Ga Gotoku, who is also famous for working on the Yakuza series. Virtua Fighter 5 is published by Sega and was praised upon its initial release. The game has since seen a few re-releases, including the most recent release of Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The updated version of the game features improved HD graphics and new online features.
This isn’t the first time that Virtua Fighter has been involved in collaborations with other fighting games. Akira is an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and various editions of Dead or Alive 5 included playable characters like Akira, Sarah, Pai Chan, and Jacky.
For players who are unaware of the game, Sega has a description on the official website.
