As part of Epic’s weekly free game offer at the Epic Games Store, PC gamers can get their hands on a cracking set of not one, but three classic games from today. BioShock: The Collection is now available to download and will be free to keep. It’s only on the Epic Games Store until June 6th, so if you haven’t had a chance to play the retro-futuristic and narratively compelling BioShock games before, this is your chance.
BioShock: The Collection includes all of the BioShock games as well as every DLC for them, in one bundle. They’ve also all been refreshed and upgraded to run smoothly, with support for higher resolution displays and framerate requirements on PC. In the free bundle, players will be able to enjoy the original BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered, and BioShock Infinite: Complete Edition.
Bioshock Remastered also includes the additional Museum of Orphaned Concepts, Challenge Rooms and the Director’s Commentary – Imagining BioShock. Bioshock 2 Remastered includes the Minerva’s Den and Protector Trial content. Finally, Bioshock Infinite: Complete Edition also includes the Burial At Sea Episodes 1 and 2 add-on pack, the Clash Of Clouds add-on pack, plus a couple of the Rewards and Upgrade packs that unlock some pretty interesting special weapons.
The BioShock games are generally considered as being amongst the best in terms of immersion and engagement with otherworldly environments and also feature some epic storytelling for players to sink themselves into. As far as freebies go, BioShock: The Collection is a great choice from Epic, which is continuing its current trend of offering solid AAA games for free after last week’s selection of Borderlands 3 being up for grabs.
Get your hands on a free copy of BioShock: The Collection over on the Epic Games Store right now, before next Thursday sees a new title take its place.
