Ubisoft’s next Far Cry game will be called Far Cry Primal and it will be set in the Ice Age, about 2.6 million years ago, according to a report from Kotaku.
Earlier today, Ubisoft posted a livestream of a static image of a cave painting with sounds of people, animals, and the crackle of fire in the background. Far Cry Primal’s name has not been confirmed by Ubisoft and, in fact, the ongoing livestream that has not changed since it was posted is the only official word so far from Ubisoft.
IGN Turkey has also tweeted an article about Far Cry Primal, but quickly took said article down.

Last year’s Far Cry 4 starred Troy Baker and was set in Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan country. No word on if Baker will be returning for Far Cry Primal. As soon as an official confirmation of the game comes down from Ubisoft, we’ll be sure to update you on the specifics.
