World of Tanks Readying for Expansion With New Battle Pass

May 23, 2022 by John McDonald

An almighty crossover.

It really is the month for World of Tanks because not only did it celebrate a sort of birthday earlier this month – with a free giveaway too – but now the new battle pass is arriving, and it has some hefty reinforcements. This battle pass will be coming with backup in the shape of the Ultramarines, the Death Guard, and the Evil Sunz Orks from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

This crossover is one-of-a-kind, and players will not want to miss out on everything that it has to offer – a mix of two games you would never think would crossover, but here we have it. So, Tankers, make sure you choose the right 40k faction for the battlefield.

This World of Tanks season will include three main chapters, and each chapter will consist of 50 stages, but don’t worry because there is no specific order one needs to complete them. But what kind of impact will this Warhammer 40k setting have on the game itself? Well, it means each chapter features a 3D style that is inspired by all those different factions. After you have successfully completed a chapter, you will be rewarded with a commander that will fly the flag of your chosen faction as well – it’s the little things, isn’t it?

This might seem like an exciting new feature, but veterans of the Battle Pass mechanic will know all about how it works. Players can earn Battle Pass Points in most Random Battles whilst playing with a certain vehicle type. But you can also tick off all the daily missions that appear on your to-do list to bolster your points up.

The Publishing Director of World of Tanks, Max Chuvalov had his say on the fun little merger: “We’re excited to collaborate with and bring the 40k universe into World of Tanks, and we’re sure our players will be equally thrilled too” said Chuvalov. He went on to add, “Just like Warhammer 40,000, battles are about strategy, understanding your role in the arena, and how you can work together to secure the victory.”

The season pass will be running from May 31st all the way up to August 30th, so make sure you get involved. You can watch the announcement trailer below as well, for a more vivid interpretation.
