NBA 2K16 Final Player Ratings Have Fans Debating, Legendary Player Brings His Skyhook

September 23, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

You would be hard pressed to find any NBA fan who would not want to play with larger than life figure.

2K Sports has shared their final ratings for the players in NBA 2K16, and the fans won’t stop talking about it.

So, these are the top 10 players, and their ratings:

1.       Lebron James – 94

2.       Stephen Curry – 93

3.       Anthony Davis – 92

4.       James Harden – 92

5.       Kevin Durant – 91

6.       Chris Paul – 90

7.       Russell Westbrook – 89

8.       Carmelo Anthony – 88

9.       Blake Griffin – 88

10.   LaMarcus Aldridge- 88

We've unveiled our #NBA2K16 Top 10! @kobebryant is rated a 85 and apparently there's a debate. Too high? Too low? pic.twitter.com/g6cnZgTjB8

Conspicuous in his absence is Kobe Bryant, who received a rating of 85. While fans are up in arms over the ranking, as 2K Sports has already pointed out, for players like Kobe and Lebron they do not consider total career performance when they decide on these ratings. Instead, they base it on how well the players did this season, so that it makes sense that you are playing with these athletes at the level they were at for the year. Fans may not like it, but this makes it fair for all players.

In #NBA2K16, I'm proud to bring my skyhook to a new generation of fans. Thanks @NBA2K! pic.twitter.com/KbWXEITk3E

If you don’t agree with that choice, we think you will at least be satisfied with this decision. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in the sport, one time actor, and now acclaimed author and writer, is bringing his trademark goggles and skyhook to 2K’s digital courts. A true renaissance man, you would be hard pressed to find any NBA fan who would not want to play with him.

NBA 2K16 will be released on September 29 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and  Windows.
