Epic Games have officially announced the long-awaited rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi skin for their epic battle royale title Fortnite. For a long time players have been speculating about an Obi-Wan skin and the developers have finally made the official announcement.
Not only did Epic games bring an awesome new skin, but Obi-Wan Kenobi will also receive his own new mode titled — Obi-Wan Kenobi Cup. This competition allows players to compete to gain early access to the Obi-Wan Outfit earlier than release. Players will have the opportunity to try to gain access to the skin starting Sunday, May 22. During a set 3-hour time limit, players can play up to 10 matches to earn points to unlock the skin before the official release which will hit the item shop on May 26th.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Outfit will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 8 PM ET, alongside an Obi-Wan Back Bling, Pickaxe, Glider, and more.
The following items will be available in addition to the Outfit:
Desert Essentials Back Bling (included with the Outfit): An assortment of tools perfect for living an isolated existence on a remote desert planet.
Obi-Wan’s Blade Pickaxe: An ol’ reliable partner.
Jedi Interceptor Glider: Your new fighter has arrived.
Obi-Wan’s Message Emote: An important transmission…
Competitors can play up to ten matches within their region’s three-hour time window, and the specific event timing for each region can currently be found in the Compete tab in-game. Scoring will work as follows in the tournament:

Epic Games don’t detail how many points you will need to earn before unlocking the skin, however, with a 3-hour time limit and only 10 matches to participate in, players will have to try their best to rack up the points quickly.
Fortnite has been killing it when it comes to bringing content to the epic free-to-play multiplayer shooter. Obi-Wan Kenobi is the latest addition to the game, but we should definitely expect to see more from Epic Games as they love bringing new gear, new modes, and new skins for their fanbase.
