Age of Mythology is Getting a New Expansion that Takes the Game to China

September 20, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Yes, the 2002 game. (Okay, it’s for the Extended Edition, but still.)

Age of Mythology is set to receive a new expansion which will take the 13 year old game to China.

Titled 'Tale of the Dragon', the expansion's announcement comes just 12 years after the last expansion, The Titans, was released. Of course, Tale of the Dragon is coming to the Extended Edition, not the original version of the game but that's still quite the gap.

Details on what to expect are scarce but you can probably safely expect new units, buildings, and god powers with which to smite your foes. Developers Forgotten Empires and Skybox will be hosting a Twitch stream with details on the expansion on October 2nd.

The studios are also working on a new expansion for Age of Empires 2 HD, called The African Kingdoms. No prizes for guessing what part of the world that will take players to.
