Monopoly: Fallout Collector’s Edition Detailed, Available for Pre-Order

September 17, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Game completion time reportedly equal to that of Fallout 4.

More details have emerged on the Fallout-themed Monopoly board game that was announced earlier this month, courtesy of a listing on Bethesda’s online storefront.

According to the listing on Bethesda’s store, Monopoly: Fallout Collector’s Edition will replace key locations and items from the standard Monopoly game with Fallout-inspired stand-ins. The six player pieces will be a 10mm pistol, a MiniNuke, a Nuka-Cola Bottle, a Power Armor Helmet, a Vault Boy, and Vault 111. Houses and hotels will be known as Shacks and Vaults and, instead of Chance and Community Chest Cards, players will use Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide and You’re S.P.E.C.I.A.L. cards. Lastly, Monopoly money will have the Nuka-Cola bottle caps imprinted on it.

The product description says that the locations on the board will be replaced by locations from “all four Fallout video games.” It’s unclear if this includes Fallout: New Vegas or simply the four numbered titles in the Fallout series.

Initially believed to be exclusive to GameStop, Monopoly: Fallout Collector’s Edition will also be available through Bethesda’s online store at the same retail price of $40 USD. The exclusivity might be a matter of time as the board game is slated for release on Oct. 1 through GameStop and Oct. 30 through Bethesda.

This Fallout-themed Monopoly game is, of course, timed appropriately for the release of Fallout 4, the next video game in the series, which will be released on Nov. 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
