Team 17, the publishers and developers of the Worms series have announced they will be publishing Penarium, a "sadistic circus extravaganza" by Netherlands-based indie studio Self Made Miracle.
Penarium can be best described as a frantic, 2D arena arcade game that puts players in the role of a chubby dude named Willy. Willy finds himself trapped in a circus of nightmares, where he must run, jump, and avoid all manner of death traps. Similar to Super Meat Boy, players can expect Willy to die a lot and in a wide variety of gruesome ways.
The game features 30 single-player Challenge missions, a single-player Arcade mode set across three levels, and couch co-op versus and co-op multiplayer modes.
Penarium will be able to download for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on September 22nd for just $9.99, with a free trial version also available to download.
