If you've been paying any attention at all to Star Wars Battlefront, you might have noticed references to a feature called Star Cards.
What are Star Cards?
Star Cards are Star Wars Battlefront's feature that allows players to customize their character before heading into battle. If you've played Dirty Bomb on the PC, you may have an inkling of how this might work, though the systems differ.
Instead of having character classes like the Battlefield series of games, Star Wars Battlefront allows you to maintain a set of cards. You have three cards that you have active at all times. As you play the game, you earn and unlock more cards. Shields, grenades, and jetpacks all come in the form of cards. Deciding which card to equip allows you to determine the kit you take with you into battle.
Additionally, you can share your three cards with your partner, and vice versa. Instead of squads, players in Star Wars Battlefront operate in teams of two.
You'll know what cards you have by looking at the bottom right corner of your screen:
Breaking it down:
- Cards represent your equipment loadout.
- You have to select three cards.
- You unlock more cards as you gain experience through play.
- You can share your cards with your partner.
- During battle, your cards work on a recharge timer or have a number of charges that may refill when you respawn.
