MGS V: The Phantom Pain Game Breaking Bug Fixed on PS4 and PC

September 14, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The game breaking bug involving Quiet has been fixed.

The game-breaking bug in Metal Gear Solid 5 that involves Quiet during missions 29 and 42 has been fixed on both the PC and PS4. Before it was fixed, the bug would cause your save file to become corrupted if you brought Quiet with you on those missions.

Xbox One players will still have to wait a bit longer before the patch rolls out.

Speaking on Twitter, the official MGS twitter account wrote, "We're happy to report that a fix for the Quiet/save data issue has now been implemented for PS4. The same fix for other platforms are coming.

Also, we continue to look into server issues and are working on solutions for all affected platforms. We hope to implement these soon. The fix has now been implemented for Steam/PC as well.

Additionally, the Metal Gear Online Twitter account stated that Konami plans to showcase the online mode for MGS5 at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
