All Metal Gear Solid V Servers Online, However Konami Says Problems May Still Occur

September 4, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Some users still experiencing connectivity issues.

Konami is reporting that all Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain connectivity problems on all platforms are currently fixed, but also cautions that data may be slow to transfer and issues may persist, following earlier reports that all platforms except PlayStation 4 were functioning normally.

"Online servers have been upgraded," a comment on the server website states. "Measures have been taken to reduce burden on the database. These measures may result in it taking some time for data to be applied to FOBs (staff acquired/resources/FOB expansion/security settings, etc.). There may still be some issues when attempting to connect to online features, so we will continue to provide up-to-date notifications on server operating status."

The latest update on the official English Metal Gear Twitter account states, “With our emergency maintenance complete we have observed that the servers are running normally.” The tweet also links to the official server status page for The Phantom Pain. As of this writing, that page lists Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 as “operating normally.” Under PlayStation 4 it says, “Experiencing conditions that will make it difficult to connect.”

Konami is also telling players to reset their game (close it completely and start it again) if problems are persisting on a platform that is reported to be “operating normally,” i.e. everything but PS4 (as of this writing).

If you continue to have issue, please reset the game #MGSV
