Mad Max Guide: Vehicle Unlocks, Hidden Cars, and Death Runs

September 3, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

This Mad Max guide will help you find and unlock all the vehicles in the game.

Enter Mad Max. Set in a post-apocalyptic world made up mostly of desert, the only way Max Rockatansky can get around is with a set of wheels.

We've spent a good chunk of our time playing the game and one of the things we discovered was how satisfying it was to discover new cars and unlock them for our own use. There are almost three dozen vehicles for you to unlock in total.

The easiest way to acquire a car is to simply hijack them from enemies while you're roaming through the game and return to a friendly stronghold. You'll want to keep a spare tank of fuel whenever you head out because there's a good chance that the vehicles you hijack will be low on fuel and you might run into some trouble getting it back to base.

It should be noted that some vehicles confer bonuses to you. Chum's Buggy, for example, allows your dog to spot and locate minefields.

If stealing and salvaging a vehicle isn't your thing, the other surefire way of acquiring a new vehicle is to complete the Death Run. These race-style missions will reward you with specific vehicles upon completion.

Here's the definitive list of unlockable vehicles and the locations of their Death Run tracks.
