Resident Evil Re:Verse Will Be Coming To Stadia

May 9, 2022 by Ophelie Castelot

The game has been rated on a new platform.

Resident Evil Re:Verse was just rated for Stadia in Europe. This update comes one year after the rating of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. Since then, Capcom published little to no information about Resident Evil Re:Verse. But it seems that the game will finally release in 2022, and on more platforms than initially expected.

Resident Evil Re:Verse is a multiplayer game mode that was coming with the release of Resident Evil Village. As you may already know, Resident Evil Village came out a year ago, but its multiplayer mode was nowhere to be seen.

Will Resident Evil Re:Verse finally come out in 2022?

The initial launch of Resident Evil Re:Verse was scheduled for May 2021, alongside Resident Evil Village. Capcom postponed it to July 2021, before announcing a 2022 release date. The company wanted to leave the developers more time to polish the game and “deliver a smooth gameplay experience.”

Since then, Capcom didn’t communicate much about the game. But it seems that the 2022 release date is confirmed, as Resident Evil Re:Verse received a European rating on Stadia today.

Instead of fighting zombies, Resident Evil Re:Verse offers to fight against other players. The game revolves around four to six-person revenge matches, where when a player dies their body transforms into a powerful bioweapon. The goal is to score the most points by the end of the match.

The game will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. It is free for all owners of Resident Evil Village. A word of caution though: if you bought Resident Evil Village on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, Resident Evil Re:Verse won’t be available on these platforms. You will receive a free copy either on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One when the game comes out – hopefully, this year.
