Speaking at PAX, Square Enix says that it will announce the release date for Final Fantasy XV during an event that's set to take place in March 2016. It'll be awhile before the game itself is ready for release.
The developers from the Japanese studio said that they wil lshare the game's specific launch date during a special event to be held sometime that month.
Final Fantasy XV was originally announced at E3 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. After spending a few years in limbo, the game was renamed Final Fantasy XV and given a new lease on life.
The game is expected to be out in 2016 for the Xbox One and PS4.
