Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright Collaborate for the First Time Ever

September 20, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Hershel Layton and Phoenix Wright will be collaborating for the very first time in this newly announced game for the Nintendo 3DS.

Phoenix Wright and Hershel Layton are two of the greatest characters—I'm not exaggerating, they really are—to grace the gaming world. They'll be getting together for the first time ever in history in Level-5's upcoming Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.

The game is a collaboration of the two unorthodox heroes, Layton and Wright, as they venture to Labyrinth City to participate in a mysterious court session involving a witch trial, with Phoenix Wright representing the defense. Wright must team up with Professor Layton to uncover clues, solve a mystery, and ultimately exonerate the defendant of the accusations against her.

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is set for a 2012 release on the Nintendo 3DS. The American release date has yet to be announced.
