Metal Gear Solid 5 Japanese Trailer Shows the Rise of Big Boss

August 19, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Watch the rise of Big Boss in this newly released trailer.

A newly released trailer of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain spoils a little bit about the game by showcasing the game's main character, Big Boss, as he slowly loses his humanity.

The trailer, which was release for Japanese audiences, covers the events that take place throughout the series in titles that were originally released on the PlayStation platforms. It builds up MGS5 as the conclusion to the long-running series.

The newly released video follows a 30-minute video released earlier this month explaining how the game's Mother Base feature works for players. In the Mother Base, players can develop and expand their Diamond Dogs unit to unlock new abilities and equipment to be used in missions.

The upcoming game is set for release on September 1 for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. It's set to feature an online multiplayer component.
