Unreal Engine-Powered Blade: Redemption Aims to Appeal to Hardcore Players on Mobile

August 5, 2015 by Stephen Daly

PAX Prime attendees will be able to try it out themselves later this month.

Korean-based mobile game developer and publisher 4:33 Creative Lab has announced its next project for iOS and Android, Blade: Redemption.

4:33 Creative Lab has been the beneficiary of significant investment from tech giant Line and TenCent, which has a significant stake in Epic Games. Epic's Unreal Engine is powering the title.

Described as a "unique" hack-and-slash action RPG, which lets players test their skills in real time battles through synchronous player-versus-player arena battles. There's also a sizable single-player campaign and the game features multiple a fluid combat system enhanced  by numerous character powers. Other features include 80 single-player dungeons and an Infinity Dungeon which offers 100 deadly rounds of boss battles.

Blade was originally released exclusively in South Korea but achieved fourth place on Google Play’s top grossing games worldwide for May 2014.

You can check out some screens below and those of you looking to try it out will be able to do so at PAX Prime in Seattle later this month.
