Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive have announced that The White March – Part 1, the first expansion pack for their epic fantasy role-playing game Pillars of Eternity, will be out on August 25, 2015.
Originally revealed at E3 2015, the expansion pack is set to add a tremendous amount of new content into the game that can be played alongside the original game regardless of whether players have completed the core campaign.
The expansion offers new party members, a higher level cap, artifacts, new abilities, and an all new area to explore. The story is written by Carrie Patel, who authored the Recoletta series, and Eric Fenstermaker, lead writer of Pillars of Eternity and who also co-wrote Obsidian's South Park: The Stick of Truth. Just don't expect any dick jokes to make it into this expansion.
