Scalebound Gameplay Trailer Looks Intense, Reveals Co-op Support

Scalebound has a new gameplay trailer.

Hideki Kamiya and the developers at PlatinumGames have just unveiled the first gameplay footage from their upcoming game, Scalebound. The studio is best known for their work on Bayonetta. 

The monster-hunting title takes a lot of cues from the likes of the Monster Hunter series of games, pitting the player against a host of mythical monsters including dragons and hydras. 

In the trailer, we watch as the game's talkative protagonist interacts with a giant flying dragon as they land before a troop of soldiers. 

After killing the troops, the protagonist and his dragon take on a gigantic antlion. 

At the end of the trailer, the hero faces another gigantic monster, but not before he's joined by a couple of friends—indicating that online cooperative gameplay exists in Scalebound.

Scalebound is slated for release on the Xbox One and was first announced at E3 2014.
