The Talos Principle Coming to PS4 This October

July 30, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Time to get philosophical on PlayStation 4.

The Talos Principle Deluxe Edition will be making its way to PlayStation 4 on Oct. 13, publisher Devolver Digital announced today.

The Deluxe Edition will come packed with the base game and the recently-released-on-PC expansion pack Road to Gehenna. It will be available digitally on PS4, as well as physically through a partnership with Bandai Namco, which will be handling physical distribution.

In The Talos Principle you play a sentient robot that is being guided by an omnipresent, disembodied voice named Elohim. You must solve puzzles in order to progress through the philosophically-inclined narrative.

"We wanted to revisit the world of The Talos Principle and deliver new characters and a new world with its own history and culture. With Road to Gehenna we have created an all-new narrative which both branches off from and expands the original character's journey,” co-writer Tom Jubert said of the expansion.

The Talos Principle was originally released on PC last December and saw the release of its expansion pack last week. The expansion pack, Road to Gehenna, was announced in March alongside an announcement that a port for PS4 was on its way that included the base game and its expansion pack. The base game was also ported to the Nvidia Shield, Shield TV, and Nexus 9 Android devices last May. No word on when Road to Gehenna will grace the aforementioned Android devices.
