Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment, initially released for the PlayStation Vita last year, is making its way to the PlayStation 4 today. “Featuring all of the content packed into last year’s PlayStation Vita game, Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment is sure to keep fans busy for months to come,” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.
Considering that the PS Vita title was among the bestsellers of 2014, it makes sense that they would bring it to the PlayStation 4. Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment will follow the simulated Virtual Reality MMORPG gameplay from the Sword Art Online storyline. Players must take on the role of Kirito and fight their way through the different levels of Aincrad to escape from the virtual game world. Interact with over a hundred new characters and fight alongside them as you traverse Aincrad.
Players that have already poured time into the PS Vita version will be pleased to know that some items will be transferable to the PS4 version. If you’re worried about the PS4 version not having the same DLC, BANDAI NAMCO assures that the PS Vita DLC will be unlockable at a later date. Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment on PlayStation 4 will come with enhanced localization, online play, additional bosses, and more.
