Evil Dead: The Game is a couple of months from release and fans of the Sam Raimi films are gearing up to play the highly-anticipated horror game. Developers have said the new title will have players “Step into the shoes of Ash Williams or his friends from the iconic Evil Dead franchise and work together in a game loaded with over-the-top co-op and PVP multiplayer action! Play as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, managing your fear, and finding key items to seal the breach between worlds”
Considering Evil Dead: The Game has been strongly marketed as co-op and multiplayer, many fans are wondering, will there be any single-player options? While it is understandable that the game’s aim is to create the classic horror situation where a group is pitted against one menacing enemy, can gamers have this experience while playing solo? Let’s find out.

Will single-player be available in Evil Dead: The Game?
Saber Interactive has yet to release any firm information on single-player options for Evil Dead: The Game, although there have been reports that there will be “a couple of side missions” meant to play solo. The same reports have said gamers shouldn’t expect a very expansive single-player mode though. However, the co-op mode should be able to be played alongside bots.
When looking at 2019’s World War Z, also developed by Saber Interactive, the zombie game offered a few single-player options such as rather than teaming up friends, gamers could play alongside AI instead. To do so, fans simply needed to launch a campaign as normal and then choose to play offline. If World War Z is anything to go by, Evil Dead: The Game should offer a similar option.
Evil Dead: The Game releases in just a couple of months on May 13, 2022, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Definitely check it out if you’re a fan of survival horror or love the original movies!
