After numerous delays, Evil Dead: The Game is finally coming this year. Soon we’ll be blasting deadites, demons and phantasms away with our shotguns and saying extremely cheesy catchphrases as part of a group. Having previously worked on World War Z, developers Saber Interactive certainly have a firm grasp on this style of gameplay. Fans of Ash Williams and the cast of Ash VS Evil Dead will be itching to get their hands on the game, but in this modern age the question occurs as to how we can access these games. Can we play it offline, or are we stuck playing the game online with friends?
Can you play Evil Dead: The Game alone?
You can play Evil Dead: The Game alone! In fact part of the reason the game was delayed in the first place was so that developer Saber Interactive could implement a single-player variant on the game. There’s a couple of side-missions throughout the game that you can play by yourself, and there’s also a way to play through various aspects with bots, meaning that if you can’t find a friend to fill your final slot, you can get an AI to do it for you!
It’s unclear how substantial these side missions are, and how long they’ll last but one can only hope they’ll last long enough to give a ton of fun to the lonely players!
Evil Dead: The Game will be releasing May 13th 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Switch and PC. You can catch up on the series so far through various different streaming platforms.
