Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will be unveiled during the May Star Wars Celebration event. That’s according to games journalist Jeff Grubb, citing sources familiar with the reveal of the game. Grubb discussed when the game will be announced in response to a community question on the GamesBeat Decides podcast. Check out what he had to say below.
Community Question: Since EA Play isn’t happening in the summer, when can we expect to learn more about the Fallen Order sequel? Also, any chance it still comes out this holiday?
Jeff Grubb: We’re going to hear about that in May at Star Wars Celebration…so keep an eye out for that because that’s when it’s happening, 100%.

On whether the game is going to be released this year, Grubb couldn’t be certain.
Jeff Grubb: I can’t remember. I feel like I’ve talked about this before and now I can’t remember…I think it’s probably not this year, probably early next year.

Grubb did say that with the delays of Dragon Age 4 and Dead Space leave room in EA’s schedule for Fallen Order 2 to release this year. However, that is just speculation and not confirmed by any sources. Dragon Age 4 has had a notoriously difficult development. Although things appear to be going well now, it is still expected to be at least 18 months away. The Dead Space remake was confirmed to be delayed to 2023 by developer Motive Studios. Although a 2022 release date was never officially announced, it is believed that internally EA and Motive were aiming to release the game this year.
Previous leaks regarding Fallen Order 2 have said that the game will be released in Q4 2022. Hopefully, development is going well enough that the game can remain on target.
