Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have announced plans to release an "interim" patch for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, which was released in a broken state. Some players, especially those on AMD cards, have been unable to play the game without experiencing potentially game-breaking bugs.
The game has seen so many complaints and refund requests that it prompted the publisher to pull it from shelves in both physical and digital outlets, with plans to release it in a fixed state at a later date.
The publisher revealed in a post on the game's Steam page that it would release an interim patch this August for players who still have it in their Steam inventory. The patch aims to address many, but not all of the issues currently plaguing the game.
"As an update, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Rocksteady and our partners are targeting an interim patch update for existing players to be released in August. This update will address many of the issues we listed in our June 27 update," Warner Bros. wrote.
"We will provide additional details as we finalise that interim patch over the coming weeks.
"We would like to thank you for your continued patience and invaluable feedback. We are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues and are driving towards a full update for everyone as quickly as we possibly can."
The announcement follows a leaked e-mail that suggested the game would not be fully fixed until the fall.
This may not be the news fans of the game have been hoping to hear, but it's definitely better than nothing.
