Batman Arkham Knight Has Forced Warner Bros To Change How They Release Games

July 11, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

The game will miss the July 14 release for the first DLC, Batgirl: A Matter of Family.

Batman Arkham Knight still hasn’t received its game fixing patch on PC. However, if the game isn’t seeing change yet, its publisher, Warner Bros Interactive, already has.

In a new statement on the WB games page, they state that they are already modifying their internal review process, and this will affect all games for the near future. If this sounds familiar to you, that is because it is similar to Ubisoft’s statement earlier in the week, about learning their lessons from Watch Dogs. The situation between the two games is different, however, they both acknowledge issues the games had at launch, and failing to meet consumer expectations as a result.

Regarding Batman Arkham Knight itself, they assert that Arkham fans are important to them, and they are working to ensure PC owners get the best experience. Rocksteady is already helping to ensure the PC version has parity with the console versions, and they won’t be publishing the game again until everyone involved agrees it is in an acceptable state.

They already identified a few key fixes that will resolve most issues fans have had with the game, and are in the process of testing those fixes to ascertain how well they will work. Warner will update fans when they have a better idea of how long the patch will be released.

In the meantime, Batman Arkham Knight will continue to be unavailable on PC, and subsequently, PC gamers will miss the July 14 release for the first DLC, Batgirl: A Matter of Family.
