A Fortnite leaker has disclosed that Assassin’s Creed‘s Ezio could be coming to the battle royale game. Twitter account Shiina shared the exciting news on the social media platform earlier today simply saying “Assassins Creed Outfit” along with the picture above. Dataminers then found more information from update 19.40 which was released to Fortnite today. The patch notes from today’s update did say “A new themed week will begin after Amazing Web Week ends.” Nothing is certain, but perhaps the next themed week will be all about Assassin’s Creed.
Today’s release of update 19.40 was said to be focused on Spider-Man and the introduction of his web-shooters. Although, it looks like Epic possibly held some information back about Assassin’s Creed-themed additions making their way to Fortnite. The datamined picture above shows that Ezio’s full outfit, his “hidden bade,” and a new “Assassin’s Strike” emote will be added soon.
As Fortnite has blown up since its 2017 release, several different companies and franchises have been drawn to collaborating with the multiplayer game. Companies such as Marvel, the NFL, and even Nerf have all been tied to the game in some form. Besides Spider-Man, there was also an Infinity War x Fortnite collaboration which allowed any players who got their hands on the Infinity Gauntlet to become the all-powerful Thanos himself. The NFL showed up in the game in the form of various skins based on real players. Nerf also jumped on the bandwagon by releasing a series of Fortnite-themed guns for fans to have fun with in real life.
Fortnite is available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Keep an eye out for Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio possibly making his way to the battle royale game very soon.
