Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate’s July DLC May Leave You Seeing Stars

First Friday of the month means more Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC! The free July DLC includes a number of new challenges and quests, as well as a Universal Studios Japan crossover.

Players will get these new Arena Challenges:

·        Challenge Quest 7– Hunt a Yian Garuga and a Brachydios at the same time, then face off with a Furious Rajang.

·        Monster Fest 4– Hunt an Apex Zinogre, then an Apex Deviljho. This quest begins with the Arena fence raised and fully functional; you can use this to your advantage.

High Rank Quests will give newer players the chance to gain access to certain monsters. Here are the ones you’re getting this month!

·        Leaping Terror– Gain access to a Daimyo Hermitaur and Cephadrome. Get out in one piece!

·        Plain & Carefree– Face a Yian Kut-ku at the Ancestral Steppe.

·        Heavy Metal– Double Basarios! You’ll be pitted against a Basarios and Ruby Basarios.

·        Today’s Special: Meat– Deliver 10 well-done steaks that you’ve cooked yourself, and you can eventually craft the Enormous Ham Hammer.

There are three EX armor sets included in this batch of DLC. Complete the following quests to unlock them:

·        Pillar of Strength– Unlock EX Rebellion and EX Riot armor series if you slay the Dalamadur.

·        All The Rage– Hunt two Furious Rajang on Ingle Isle to unlock the EX Artian armor set.

The highlights of this DLC pack are the G-Rank quests. First is The Silver King’s Slumber, which has you face a G-Rank Silver Rathalos to get some sweet gear. Then you’ve got Episode 5: Sweetheart Square Off – 3 quests: A Lady’s Lament, A Maiden’s Mission, and A Girl’s Gumption. The final quest will require you to stand your ground against a Gold Rathian before rewarding you handsomely. You will also get tickets to craft weapons from previous games.

The Universal Studios Japan collaboration content will be released a little later, on July 17th. This will include the USJ: Tigrex 3D quest, where you’ll have to hunt the giant Tigrex in the arena to bag the Star Knight sword and shield, along with the magical equipment series for your Palicos. Then there’s the USJ: A Colorful Feast quest, where you’ll be pitted against a Zinogre and Seregios. You must prove yourself worthy of the Star Knight armor set.
