Sony's E3 2015 press conference served as a platform to debut Activision and Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, where a mission from the game's single-player campaign was showcased in addition to a multiplayer trailer.
The game's single-player campaign is "not afraid to take you off the rails", allowing players the freedom to approach the missions they undertake however they please, with weapons and abilities chosen before each mission. Additionally, the campaign can be played entirely in co-op with up to four players.
Each player has access to special nanotechnology-related abilities, such as the ability to immolate enemies from a distance, or call upon a swarm of nanites to attack enemies.
The gameplay demo depicted some new movement abilities in addition to the exo-abilities previously added to the series in Advanced Warfare, such as the ability to power slide and run on walls.
The game is slated for release on November 6, 2015 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It's also coming to last-gen platforms.
