Horizon Forbidden West: Meet The Cast Video Released

January 20, 2022 by Matt Cook

Check out the actors in the upcoming game.

A new behind-the-scenes video for Horizon Forbidden West has been released which features the actors who play the main characters in the game. The video features Aloy and Mythic Quest actress Ashly Burch, and John Wick actor Lance Reddick who plays Sylens. The video also features an interview with Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) who was just revealed to be playing the new character, Tilda. Check out the full Meet the Cast video below.

The actors described the connections they have to each of their characters along with the actual process of acting for Horizon Forbidden West. The actors are able to act in much the same way as a CGI-heavy movie like Avatar. The actors work together on set and can act off of each other. The stage is known among the actors as “the volume”. A huge grey room with all the cameras where the actors wear their dot suits and can perform together.

Ashly Burch described the experience as; “There’s something about like being in the same space and the way that someone can perform something that gets under your skin or whatever and bring something out in you that you didn’t anticipate, it’s always so fun.” Erend actor John Hopkins (Hitman series) described the benefit of the process, “It shows in the work that ends up on the screen as well because it feels much more embedded.”

A story trailer for Horizon Forbidden West was released yesterday. The trailer gave players the biggest look yet at the story of Horizon Forbidden West. The new trailer also showed off the characters featured in today’s video, new and old. Check out the story trailer here.

Horizon Forbidden West is released on February 18, 2022. The game will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
