Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga appears to have finally received a release date. According to a new leak, the release date will be April 5, 2022. If correct, the April release date means the game will release close to two years after the original release date of October 20, 2020, which was inadvertently revealed on the Star Wars YouTube channel. Although that release date was retracted and never officially confirmed, it shows the extent of the delays that the troubled game has had.
@Alumia_Italia who tweeted the release date has a history of confirming release dates for games via the Microsoft Store. The April 5 date was previously revealed in the Nvidia leak from last year. If it turns out to be true it would be yet another game that has been previously confirmed by the huge leak.
In another leak for the release date, UK video game retailer, Game, also seemingly confirmed the same leaked release date of April 5 in a tweet earlier today.
That should confirm the release date of April 5 for The Skywalker Saga beyond all doubt as the biggest video game retailer in the UK is extremely unlikely to tweet a release date without inside information. It’s possible that the tweet was scheduled for the wrong time and that we can expect an official announcement from Warner Bros today or tomorrow.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be the first game to combine all nine movies in the main Star Wars timeline. The three Star Wars trilogies have been retroactively renamed The Skywalker Saga. The game will feature a variety of planets and moons that can be explored as part of the game’s hub as well as the stories for each movie.
Assuming the release date is correct, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release on April 5, 2022. The game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
