Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Gets a Theme Song by Nobuo Uematsu

May 22, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Listen to the game’s theme song here.

Nobuo Uematsu is kind of a big deal. He's known for composing the excellent soundtrack of the Final Fantasy series. He's back with the series' latest release, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, to which he's performed the theme song.

It's titled Dragonsong, has a nice set of English lyrics, and comes with a music video of its own showcasing some of the game's characters and settings. If you're looking forward ot the upcoming expansion to Final Fantasy XIV, be sure to check it out the scenes it has to offer.

The name of the song refers to the Dragonsong War, a 1,000 year war that took place between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. Players will be thrust into the midst of the conflict in the upcoming expansion.

Check it out above.
