Teaser Video for First Person Adventure/Survival Game Kursk Revealed

Polish developer Jujubee has revealed that Kursk, their next game, will be a “first person perspective adventure & survival game” by way of the game’s first teaser video.

The video places viewers inside the Russian submarine the game is named after, which suffered a fatal accident in 2000, as said accident is happening. The moment is frozen in time and we see several different people as the camera moves throughout the submarine, eventually making its way to the source of the explosion and then fading to the outside of the submarine where a large gaping hole can now be seen.

The Kursk submarine disaster occurred on August 12, 2000 and cost the lives of all 118 personnel on board, though not all perished immediately. 24 of the bodies were later discovered by Norwegian and Russian divers in the ninth compartment of the submarine. The names of 23 sailors who had survived the explosion and were alive after the submarine sank, but later drowned to death, were written on a note by Captain-lieutenant Dmitri Kolesnikov. Though American, British, and Norwegian support had been offered after the initial explosion, Russia refused their help.

Kursk is coming to PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with no official release date.
