Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon Announced for Winter 2015

May 21, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Battle alongside "legendary and mythical" Pokemon to save the world.

Nintendo has announced Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon for its handhelds this year, with the game being scheduled for a winter 2015 release.

The Pokémon Mystery Dungeon franchise has sold more than 13 million copies to date.

"Players can look forward to even greater, randomly created dungeons that change each time they enter," the game's description reads. "In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, players will battle alongside Legendary and Mythical Pokémon to save the world in a sweeping tale of adventure and mystery."

A wide range of Pokémon are included in the game as players delve into randomly generated dungeons.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, the latest game in the series, was released in 2013 for 3DS. We'll likely learn more about the game during Nintendo's E3 events next month.
