Halo Infinite was one of the most anticipated video games released this year. Thanks to the early multiplayer component release, the video game installment was a hit. That was also prior to the full game launch. This month we finally got to crack open the campaign and see just the narrative for Master Chief. Having access for just under a week now, there is bound to be plenty of bugs that pop up. Today, we’re finding out at least one bug that might cause players to restart the game completely.
Bugs are always common in games. Typically they get resolved rather quickly by the developers. But there’s one bug that might be best to be cautious of. It’s been reported that players are coming across a bug that will corrupt their game saves. Apparently, this bug will ask players to log into their Xbox account. Of course, players could very well already be logged in to an account, but seeing this pop-up in-game could sway users into going through the standard prompts.
Unfortunately, when players go through the prompt, they’ll find their Halo Infinite game saves corrupted. That’s extremely frustrating for players to deal with. While we don’t know just how soon a fix will come out from 343 Industries, it’s best to avoid going through the prompts if it pops up during the game. Of course, that’s especially if you’re already logged into the game. It’s likely best to just ensure you’re logged in before even starting the game up.
If you happen to experience this bug already, we’re uncertain if there will be a fix to make the game saves load properly again. As far as we can tell, this might be a rare bug occurrence, but still, it’s one to be aware of. For those of you who haven’t picked the game up yet, then you can check out our Before You Buy coverage. The video is embedded below, where we offer our overall impressions of the game.
