Halo 5: Guardians launches this November, and fans are wondering if the shooter will see the return of Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach's Firefight mode to the series.
Some have suggested that developer 343 Industries could include Firefight at launch and Spartan Ops Season Two in the following months.
While Halo 3: ODST's campaign is coming The Master Chief Collection, 343 has confirmed that it will not include Firefight.
Firefight can be played solo or co-operatively with up to four players through system link or Xbox Live and sees players tackles waves of Covenant attackers. Players can choose from multiple environments based on campaign maps and fight on foot or in vehicles as the waves of enemies become increasingly difficult.
If Firefight does return, it's possible the mode could include enemies such as the Flood and the Prometheans.
Halo 5: Guardians launches on October 27th and sees the UNSC hunt Master Chief for allegedly turning against them.
