Atlus is a big video game company. They deliver some genuinely excellent video game titles. However, there is one usual downside to Atlus, and that’s the fact that they don’t typically release games worldwide. It’s usually a release within Japan, and after some time, we might get a Western release. That’s something the company might be doing away with after a new job listing was discovered for the company.
It looks like Atlus is interested in bringing in some Overseas Business Global Marketing employees. This is all to create global marketing plans. In particular, the job posting notes explicitly about games with simultaneous launch plans. That would mean there is potential going forward that we might see games come out globally at launch. Obviously, for fans of Atlus games, this might be more preferred.
Then there’s the focus on marketing. That could also mean getting the word of upcoming video game titles out to more potential consumers. Having a global marketing team could mean more useful information going out to the public rather than waiting for different fan translations. But, of course, the marketing position doesn’t indicate just what video game titles might be getting the most use out of this new strategy.
One title that fans might be interested in for a worldwide release at launch is Persona 6. After the incredible success, Atlus had with Persona 5, there is a ton of hype and anticipation regarding the next installment. Unfortunately, we don’t have the game officially announced now, but since this past title became such a cherished JRPG, it wouldn’t be a shock to see a Persona 6 get unveiled.
