Kickstarter is, for those of you who aren't yet aware, a crowdfunding service. It's easily the biggest entity in video game funding lately, seeing all sorts of different projects rise to the whims of thousands of gamers. Many say it's the future of video games, because gamers get to choose what sort of video games they want to play. In this way, Kickstarter is always relevant.
Today, Former Castlevania series producer Koji "IGA" Igarashi announced Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The project has only been live on Kickstarter for a few hours, but has already garnered tens of thousands of dollars in support. The game will be a 2.5D action adventure game and the developer is asking for $500,000 to fund the effort.
The man behind the project is a former staff member of Konami and has worked on franchises such as Castlevania. You know you're donating to a cause that will, in the end, have a strong payoff.
