Naruto Storm 4 adds a new playable character, one with a tragic and shocking backstory, that will be recreated in the game itself. Introducing Zetsu-Tobi Obito.

This version of Obito Uchiha only appears once in the manga and Shippoden anime, but his impact cannot be forgotten. Obito was friends with a young Kakashi and a kind female ninja named Rin. Unfortunately, Rin Nohara was secretly booby-trapped with the tailed beast Isobu by Madara. When push came to shove and she learned the truth, she committed suicide in front of Obito and Kakashi so that she would not endanger their village.
Obito filled with rage, used his mangekyo sharingan kamui and Guruguru’s Wood Release to slaughter an endless number of Hidden Mist ninja.
This story sequence will be recreated in the game, in another one of its epic setpieces. No word on how much of Rin’s death will be depicted, or even how it will be done, but the ensuing maelstrom is certainly the setup for an epic, large scale battle to rival many a Dynasty Warriors level.
Naruto Storm 4 will be released on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Fall 2015. You can see a screencap of the magazine revealing the news below.
