Mortal Kombat X released last month to rave reviews across the board. It has since become the most important fighting game released on major platforms in recent months. There are plans for both Street Fighter and Soul Calibur titles in the future, but Mortal Kombat takes center stage unopposed – for now.
NetherRealm Studios is the developer who has concocted this popular title and their success will continue for months to come. In an effort to reinforce these good tidings, NetherRealm will be publishing a host of different downloadable content packages. One of these will feature an infamous killer from the Friday the 13th movies: Jason Voorhees. Fans of the movie franchise will recognize this name immediately. I believe that Voorhees will fit perfectly into the Mortal Kombat cast of characters.
The studio has released a brand new character trailer that features the killer. You'll be introduced to his in-game visage, as well as his fatalities. Here's the video in all its gory glory:
