Fallout 4: What Bethesda’s Partnership with PlayStation Could Mean

April 29, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Timed DLC or something more?

While Bethesda's games have been particularly susceptible to bugs and issues on PlayStation platforms, the companies have come closer together in recent years despite Bethesda's DLC deals with Microsoft for Skyrim and Oblivion.

Sony announced at E3 2013 that it had formed a partnership with Bethesda to bring The Elder Scrolls Online to console and with Fallout 4 likely to be announced at the publisher's first ever E3 press conference in June, there's some speculation that the deal may be for more than just the MMO.

The Elder Scrolls Online would never have come to console without Sony's intervention and the game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One this June. The MMO's beta launched recently.

YouTuber MrMattyPlays has put the together the above video looking at the possibilities an agreement between Sony and Bethesda might mean for Fallout 4, including timed DLC or even an early launch which seems unlikely.

While such deals are unfortunate for those with the other console, they do help pay for games and content and with the PlayStation 4 in a dominant position in terms of sales, Bethesda could see many advantages to such a partnership.
